By downloading, installing, or using Lock4Good (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Lock4Good is operated by Antonius Freiherr von Strachwitz, a sole proprietor ("Einzelunternehmen") established in Ampfing, Germany. Full contact details are set out under "Contact Information" below.
Lock4Good is a screen time management application for iOS devices that helps users voluntarily set and enforce daily time limits on apps of their choosing. The App uses Apple's Family Controls framework to monitor app usage and temporarily block apps when user-defined limits are reached.
Lock4Good is not operated for profit. What you buy in the App is additional screen time — a digital service. You are not making a donation, and the App does not collect donations. We keep no profit from these purchases: all profits we make are donated by us to a charitable organization you select from a list we provide. See "In-App Purchases" below for details.
You must be at least 17 years old to use Lock4Good, as required by Apple's Screen Time permissions. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use Lock4Good on iOS devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

IMPORTANT: Lock4Good is designed as a voluntary self-management tool. Every time limit is chosen by you, and you can change or remove it at any time before it is reached. The App is not intended for:
Lock4Good deliberately behaves differently on either side of a limit you set. Both halves are stated here so that neither is a surprise:
Before an app reaches its daily limit, you are in full control of that limit. You can lower it, and you can delete it outright, at any time and without payment. (You cannot raise a limit for an app you have already used today — that would be the same as having no limit at all. You can raise it again after the next daily reset.)
Once an app has reached its daily limit for the day, that limit stays in place for the rest of the day. It cannot be edited, disabled, or deleted, and there is no early unlock. From that point there are exactly four ways to use that app again:
Removing a limit and adding the same app again on the same day is not a way around this. Today's recorded usage for an app is kept until the next daily reset and is re-applied to any new limit you create for that app on the same day, and the lowest limit you set for that app today continues to apply until the reset.
Option 4 is always available and is the reason this cannot become a trap: the App has no accounts, no server-side lock, and nothing that survives its own deletion.

Important: All monitoring occurs locally on your device. Which apps you limit, the limits you set, and how long you use those apps are never transmitted to us or to anyone else.

In-App Purchases grant immediate, one-time-use unlocks:
All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Apple's terms and policies govern the payment transaction.
All purchases are made through Apple's App Store, and Apple — not us — processes payments and handles refunds. To request a refund, use Apple's "Report a Problem" page (reportaproblem.apple.com) or your Apple ID purchase history. We are happy to support your request, but we cannot issue refunds ourselves.
Your statutory right of withdrawal. As a consumer resident in the European Union, you generally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a contract for digital content (§§ 312g, 355 BGB). Unlocked minutes are digital content that is supplied to you immediately, on your instruction, as soon as the purchase completes.
When you confirm a purchase in the App, you expressly consent to us beginning to supply the unlocked minutes before the withdrawal period expires, and you acknowledge that by giving that consent you lose your right of withdrawal once supply has begun (§ 356 Abs. 5 BGB). The App states this at the point of purchase.
This does not limit your other statutory rights. In particular, your warranty rights for defective digital products (Gewährleistung, §§ 327 ff. BGB) are unaffected. If you paid for extra minutes and did not receive them, or they did not work, contact us — we will help you obtain a refund from Apple.
We may offer promotional pricing from time to time. Promotions are subject to specific terms disclosed at the time of the offer and may be modified or discontinued at our discretion.
Lock4Good does not operate for profit. What you purchase is additional screen time, not a donation. We then donate all profits we make from those purchases to charity rather than keeping them. Specifically:

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lock4Good, its developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. All locally stored data will be deleted with the App.

The App relies on Apple's Family Controls framework, In-App Purchase system, and App Store. Your use of these Apple services is governed by Apple's terms and policies, including:
Lock4Good integrates with the following third-party services:
Both are off by default. They only run if you switch them on during onboarding or in Settings → Privacy, and you can switch them off again at any time. Neither service receives your app selections or time limits.
All intellectual property rights in the App, including but not limited to:

"Lock4Good" and associated branding are trademarks. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.
You retain all rights to data you create in the App (usage logs, app selections, etc.). However, since this data is stored locally and never transmitted to us, we never obtain any rights to it.
You agree to comply with all applicable export and import laws and regulations. You may not use or export the App in violation of U.S. or international export laws or trade sanctions.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you have your habitual residence.
If a dispute arises from these Terms or your use of the App, please contact us first (see "Contact Information" below) — most issues can be resolved informally. Where the purchase itself is at issue, Apple's support channels are usually the fastest route, as Apple is the seller of record.
Consumer arbitration (§ 36 VSBG): We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle).
If you are a consumer, the statutory rules on jurisdiction apply — you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence, and we may generally only sue you there. If you are a merchant (Kaufmann), a legal person under public law, or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is our registered place of business in Germany.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of law, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Lock4Good regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights or provisions.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without your consent in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
